Editing card descriptions in the Android app cause markdown to be removed

      Issue Summary

      This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open the Trello Android app
      2. Create a card
      3. Add text into the description that includes markdown
      4. Save the description
      5. Tap on the description to edit it
      6. Tap on Cancel to not save changes
      7. Tap on the description again to edit
      8. Formatting is removed from the card in the edit screen

      Expected Results

      Formatting should not be removed from the card

      Actual Results

      Markdown formatting is removed from the card description

      Workaround

      Closing the card without saving the changes to view the board again, then reopening allows the card to be edited with the markdown

            Thank you for the report, we found the source of the issue and pushed a fix in version 2024.13.3. The fix is currently available for beta users from the Play Store and is rolling out to production now, this should be fully available in production by 9 July.

            We've identified the problem and are going to release a fix to production version 2024.13.3 which begins moving from beta to production today.
