Issue Summary
Trying to move a list to a board that's set to read-only results in an error message, even though the list is actually moved.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a list with a few cards on it.
- Move the list from Board 1 to Board 2 (which is set to read-only).
- You will see an error message "Unable to move list". However, the list and its cards will actually be moved to Board 2 despite this error.
- Secondary move (optional): If you try moving the list again (to Board 3 for example), you might see a success message "Moved (list name) to (Board 3)" but the list will appear empty.
Expected Results
The list is successfully moved to the read-only board (Board 2) with no error message, or the error message can be displayed but prevent the list from being moved.
Actual Results
- An error message appears stating "Unable to move list" even though the list and its cards are actually moved to the read-only board (Board 2). This can be confusing.
- If the user attempts to move the list again (to Board 3 for example) after encountering the error, they might see a success message but the list will appear empty.
Workaround
- Go to Board 2 (the read-only board). You should see the list and its cards there.
- If you need to move the list, you have two options:
- Activate your free trial to move the list yourself.
- Contact Trello support for assistance with moving the list.
