User Problem
Users keep multiple cards open every day to work on it, and they miss notifications because of it. It'd be nice to have the email notification sent even tho the card is opened.
For example, if someone tags them in a comment and they have the card opened, the email notification won't come, and they rely on the notification to be up-to-date, they can easily be working on the description and miss the comment.
Suggested Solutions
Option to send all notifications through email even tho the notification was read/card opened; this will ensure the customer views all notifications.
