      Issue Summary

Trello Microsoft Store App (Windows) repeatedly fails SSO login every 4-7 days when integrated with Okta as the identity provider via Atlassian's SAML SSO. Affected users are redirected to a browser displaying: "Hmm.. We're having trouble logging you in. There seems to be an issue with your identity provider."

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install the Trello app from the Microsoft Store on a Windows device and log in successfully using Okta SSO (SAML).
      1. Use the app normally for approximately 4-7 days without reinstalling or clearing local data.
      1. After the session naturally expires or the app attempts a re-authentication, observe that the app redirects to the system browser to complete login.
      1. In the browser, the Atlassian identity provider login page displays the error: "Hmm.. We're having trouble logging you in. There seems to be an issue with your identity provider."
      1. Attempt to log in again without clearing app data or reinstalling.

      Expected Results

The Trello Microsoft Store app should silently refresh the user's session or re-initiate a clean SAML AuthNRequest upon session expiry, allowing the user to re-authenticate via Okta SSO without error and without requiring a reinstall or local data reset.

      Actual Results

The app fails to re-authenticate after session expiry.

      Workaround

      • Uninstall and reinstall the Trello Microsoft Store app.
      • Reset local app data: In the Trello desktop app, navigate to Help > Reset local data, then clear browser cache and cookies before re-authenticating.
