      Issue Summary

When adding a card to the top of a list using the ellipsis (“...”) menu at the top of the list and selecting “Add card,” the cursor does not automatically focus on the new card’s title field. This prevents immediate typing and disrupts the workflow.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open any Trello board and navigate to a list.
      1. Click the ellipsis (“...”) at the top right of the list to open the list actions menu.
      1. Select “Add card” from the menu.
      1. Observe where the cursor is placed. Small note: In my tests, I had to run the process a few times to trigger the error, and after that, all new cards had the same issue when creating them.

      Expected Results

After selecting “Add card” from the ellipsis menu, the cursor should automatically focus on the card title field so the user can immediately start typing the card’s name.

      Actual Results

The cursor is not placed in the card title field. Typing does not result in text appearing in the card title input, and instead may trigger other quick actions or have no effect. A video demonstrating this issue has been internally added to the comments.

      Workaround

Users can add a card by using the “Add a card” button at the bottom of the list, or by hovering between cards and clicking the plus (“+”) sign that appears. Both of these methods allow for immediate typing and work as expected, including when adding a card to the top of the list.
