User Problem

When creating a new card from a template by clicking "Add card" at the bottom of a list and selecting the template card, the card name is preselected for editing only the first time. On subsequent uses, the card name is not automatically preselected, which forces users to manually select and delete the default template text before entering their own. This creates extra steps and hinders efficiency, especially for users who frequently use templates to add cards.

Suggested Solutions

Ensure that every time a user creates a new card from a template via the "Add card" option at the bottom of a list, the new card's name is automatically preselected for editing—just as it is on the first use and as it is when using the direct "Create card from template" option. This would provide a consistent and streamlined experience for all template-based card creation.

Current Workarounds

Currently, users must manually select and delete the default template text each time they create a card from a template (after the first use) by clicking and dragging. No alternative streamlined workaround is available.
