Issue Summary
User is unable to connect Trello with Slack via the Trello-Slack integration app. Despite following all recommended troubleshooting steps, the user consistently encounters an “Uh oh! There was an error adding Trello to Slack” message. The issue appears related to a mismatch between Slack member IDs during the authentication flow, potentially due to differences between Enterprise and legacy Slack user IDs.
Steps to Reproduce
- Step 1: User attempts to connect Trello to Slack using the standard authentication process (via Trello or Slack).
- Step 2: The user follows the /trello login flow in Slack and attempts to authorize the Trello app.
- Step 3: The consent window opens in the browser and the user completes the authentication steps.
- Step 4: The error “Uh oh! There was an error adding Trello to Slack” is displayed.
Expected Results
The user should be able to successfully connect Trello with Slack and use the integration features without error.
Actual Results
- The user receives the error: “Uh oh! There was an error adding Trello to Slack” every time they attempt to connect.
- Logs show a mismatch in Slack member IDs (Enterprise User ID vs. legacy User ID).
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
