Issue Summary
In the Trello iOS app version 2026.7, image attachments on cards randomly zoom in while a user is swiping or scrolling through them in the attachment viewer. Once an image is zoomed in, it can't be zoomed out manually; the user must exit the viewer and reopen the specific image to view it normally.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the Trello app on an iOS device.
- Navigate to any board and open a card containing multiple image attachments (the issue is more prominent with a higher number of attachments).
- Tap an image to open the attachment viewer.
- Swipe left or right to scroll through the images.
- Observe the behaviour of the images as they transition.
Expected Results
Images should remain at their default scale (fit-to-screen) while scrolling, allowing the user to swipe through the entire gallery smoothly.
Actual Results
Random images suddenly zoom in during scrolling/swiping. The zoom persists and cannot be pinched to zoom out. The user must close the viewer and tap the image again to reset the view.
Workaround
- Use a mobile browser (e.g., Safari or Chrome) to view attachments, as the issue does not occur there.
- Exit the attachment viewer and tap directly on the affected image to view it without the random zoom.
