Issue Summary

When using the Trello iOS app (v2026.7), tapping a link to a linked Trello card from another board, from within a card’s description, checklist, or attached Trello card briefly opens the target card and then immediately closes it, returning the user to the target board view instead of keeping the card open.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the Trello iOS app (version 2026.7) on an iOS device.
2. Navigate to a board and open a card that contains a URL link to another Trello card from another board in either: the card description, or a checklist item, or attached Trello card.
3. Tap the Trello card link.
4. Observe the behavior after the linked card appears.

Expected Results

The linked Trello card opens and remains open, allowing the user to view and interact with it (e.g., scroll, edit, add comments, etc.) without being navigated away.

Actual Results

• The linked Trello card opens briefly (for less than a second) and then automatically dismisses itself.

• The user is returned to the target board view where the target card “lives,” instead of staying on the target card screen.

Workaround

Use Trello in a web browser (desktop or mobile) to open Trello card links from descriptions, checklist items, or attachments, where the linked cards remain open as expected.
