Issue Summary
Trello shows greyed‑out generic profile icons instead of initial avatars for some users, even though their Atlassian profile avatar is correctly set and visible to “Anyone”. This makes it harder for users to visually identify members in boards and cards.
Steps to Reproduce
- Affected user logs in to their Atlassian account and goes to profile settings at:
https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/profile-and-visibility
- The user confirms that an initial avatar is set and that the profile picture visibility is configured as "visible to anyone”.
- On a Trello board where this user is a member, check how their avatar displays to the affected user themselves (on the board members list, cards), and to other Trello members on the same board and cards.
Expected Results
Trello should display the initial‑based avatar that is configured on the Atlassian profile, consistent with the Atlassian account settings.
Actual Results
For some profiles, Trello displays a greyed‑out generic icon instead of the initial avatar.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
