Issue Summary
Trello is expected to remember the last selected due date reminder option and use it as the default for future cards (until a different option is chosen).
Currently, this works as expected until a due date is deleted on any card. After deleting a due date, Trello stops remembering the previously selected reminder option.
This breaks the “sticky” reminder behaviour, forcing users to manually reselect their preferred reminder option after any due date deletion.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open any Trello board and create Card A.
- Open Card A → click Due date.
- Set a due date and set the reminder to “1 hour before”
- Save the due date.
- Create Card B.
- Open Card B → click Due date.
- Observe the reminder option that is preselected ("1 hour before").
- Now go back to Card A (or any card with a due date) and delete the due date.
- Create Card C.
- Open Card C → click Due date again.
- Observe the reminder option that is preselected.
Expected Results
- Even after deleting a due date on another card, Trello should still remember the last selected reminder option (e.g. “1 hour before”) and preselect it for Card C and future cards, until the user explicitly chooses a different reminder option.
Actual Results
After deleting a due date on any card, Trello no longer remembers the previously selected reminder option.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
