Issue Summary
When a card has both a start date and a due date spanning multiple days, the Trello calendar view correctly displays the card as a multi‑day event. However, when using “Sync to personal calendar” to sync the calendar feed with an external calendar (Google Calendar/Apple Calendar), the event is shown as a 1‑hour event on the due date only, instead of a multi‑day event from the start date through the due date.
This leads to inconsistent behaviour between Trello’s inbuilt calendar view and the external calendar feed, and can cause users to miss the true duration of their tasks.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new card on a Trello board.
- Set a start date on the card.
- Set a due date on the card so that the card spans multiple days (for example, 1–7 days).
- Open the Calendar view for the board and confirm the card appears as a multi‑day event from the start date to the due date.
- Click “Sync to personal calendar” in the Calendar view and copy the link.
- Add/subscribe to this calendar link in an external calendar app (e.g. Google Calendar or Apple Calendar) and wait for the feed to refresh.
Expected Results
- In the external calendar app, the card appears as a multi‑day event, starting on the start date and ending on the due date (same from‑ and to‑date behaviour as Trello’s calendar view).
Actual Results
- In the external calendar app, the card appears as a 1‑hour event that begins on the due date and ends one hour later.
- The event is not shown as a multi‑day event, unlike in Trello’s calendar view.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.
