User Problem

Introducing the ability to add comments directly to individual checklist items within a card would allow users to discuss specific tasks, share updates, or clarify requirements at the checklist item level, improving team communication and keeping all relevant information consolidated without needing to create separate cards for minor steps. 

Current Workarounds

Currently, the only workaround is to add comments to the card itself and reference the relevant checklist item within the comment. While this keeps all discussion in one place, it does not provide the granularity or context that commenting directly on checklist items would offer.
