User Problem
The users link cards together.
So they have Card A, with checklist items:
- Item 1 (link to the card)
- Item 2 (link to the card)
Being Item 1 and 2 other cards on the board,
The user wants to easily identify, while viewing the list of cards, that Item 1 and Item 2 are part of Card A's tasks. Essentially, they want to see the relationship between these cards without opening each card.
In that way, they can glimpse over the boards and see that Item 1 and Item 2 are tasks on Card A.
Suggested Solutions
Display the name of the "parent" card (e.g., Card A) on the front of each "child" card (e.g., Item 1 and Item 2) in the list view. This would allow users to quickly see the connection between cards.
In other words, consider Card A as the "parent" of the checklist items, and visually represent this relationship on each card's front.
If a card is linked to multiple parent cards, use a plus sign to indicate multiple relationships, allowing users to expand and view all parent cards.
