User Problem
Currently, Trello users can create card buttons to automate certain actions, such as moving a card's due date by one day, archive a card, add a member to a card, etc. However, this still requires opening each card and manually clicking the button, which can be time-consuming and inefficient when dealing with a large number of cards daily. Users report that this process involves hundreds of unnecessary clicks, leading to wasted work hours.
Suggested Solutions
- Introduce a feature that allows users to create custom keyboard shortcuts for specific actions within Trello, such as updating card due dates or moving cards between lists.
- Implement a more flexible shortcut system that can be personalized to include user-defined actions, making card management more efficient.
Current Workarounds
As a temporary workaround, users can continue to use Automation card buttons to perform actions like moving due dates. While this method still requires opening each card, it does automate part of the process and reduces the steps needed to complete repetitive tasks.
