When you create a template from a card that has a "completed" status, the resulting template also retains this status, leading to all new cards created from the template being marked as completed.

Suggested Solutions

When creating a template, even if the original card is marked as completed, the new cards generated from the template should default to an incomplete status. This approach aligns with the purpose of templates, which are intended for reuse, and avoids applying a static status to all subsequent cards.

Current Workarounds

Users can manually uncheck the completion status after the card is created from the template. Alternatively, before creating the template, users can uncheck the card's completion status, create the template after the card isn unmarked. By doing so, any cards created from the template will not be marked as completed.
