Ability to perform backups via web UI and REST API

At our company we would like to create our own internal Atlassian hosted environment similar to Atlassian OnDemand with Stash instead of Bit Bucket. This would only be used by teams within our company and they would be responsible for handling their own backups. This isn't a problem for tools like JIRA where you can perform a backup manually via the UI, but Stash doesn't currently allow for this so we wouldn't be able to give them their own instance without also giving them shell access so they can manage backups. Providing this functionality via the UI and the REST API would give teams the flexibility to schedule automated backups as well.
