From version 2.1.10.0 and newer, SourceTree takes a long time to fully load a repo.
We have several repos that are over 1 gig in space. So when we click to open/load a repo w/ in SourceTree, the left nav will take a long time to load. This makes these newer versions unusable, as we'll want to switch branches, pull latest, fetch, etc, but can't because it's still loading. 2.1.2.5 is the newest version where loading the left nav is actually fast.
Steps:
- Open SourceTree
- Identify a repo that's large (eg; 1.5 gigs or >)
- Open this repo w/ in SourceTree
- Note that it'll take a about a minute to load the left nav.
- With 2.1.2.5 it would load w/ in seconds
