'Branches' tree menu collapses randomly and inappropriately

    Description

      I'm going to use the word "Branch" a lot, and all in different contexts, so I will try to be as clear as possible.

       

      If I use the branch button (below)

      The branches tree 

       

      Collapses. It would be great if it didn't do this; I want to be able to see my list of branches at all times.
