    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Priority: Highest
    • 2.4.8.0
    • Affects Version/s: 2.1.2.5, 2.1.10.0
    • Component/s: General
    • Environment:
    • Severity 1 - Critical

Came back from a week away and SourceTree didn't start (not sure which version) so uninstalled it, downloaded 2.1.2.5, ran the installer and saw the following:

      1. the splash screen appears briefly (sometimes - I've tried this a few times); and then
      2. the general non-descriptive error as shown in the screenshot attached.

If I click the "Debug the program button", I get an "An unhandled Microsoft .NET Framework exception occurred in SourceTree.exe [8140]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled." - which seems like it's due to me not having Visual Studio setup / not being a .NET developer (rather than anything to do with the issue described).

Just to be sure, I went and installed the latest .NET (4.7) - no effect. Updated Git - no effect.

      Update:

I downgraded to archive version 2.0.20.1 which works. It then asks if I would like to upgrade to 2.1.10 if I do, then it stops working again with the issue described above.
