We started using sourcetree with our old vb6 projects.

I added "ignorecase = true" in my git config file, but sourcetree still shows me differences that is only case.
We have to now search out the real changes and just press the stage hunk button.

Summary

ignorecase = true is not working on ST. The customer still can see differences that are only case.

Investigation Done

• I suggested to the customer set ignorecase globally if it wasn’t. He said he don’t want it global and it was already set to the specific repo
• Customer switched from embedded Git to System Git but no difference
• SourceTree was updated to version 2.1.2.3 but the issue persists
