Clicking "Log selected" on a file only displays history for the current branch. There should be an option in the "log selected" popup to display it for all branches (in command line git, you type git log --all myfile.txt)

The fact that only current checked out branch is display is especially disturbing when you click "log selected" from a specified commit, and if that commit isn't in the current branch, it's not displayed in the popup.
