    • up-to-date Windows 10 Pro, current version of SourceTree.  Windows set to dark theme before SourceTree was installed.

    • Severity 2 - Major

Dark theme in windows does not make SourceTree dark (as documented online that it should).

(I would prefer the ability to set my own theme colors to match my own dev. environ, but just the Windows Dark theme alone would help my eyes.  Look at GitKraken for a good example.)

Hi benja1 we are attempting to improve this behavior as part of that work.

As I said before, this is not a dark-theme request, so this issue is not duplicated of SRCTREEWIN-2351.

And I think developing SRCTREEWIN-2351, will make this issue not achievable, but don't worry, I think it is ok, I prefer the SRCTREE dark theme rather than the WINDOWS dark theme.

Hi Michael Minns, Just to clarify, this issue and SRCTREEWIN-5946 are not really asking for a dark theme for Sourcetree, we are talking about how "Windows" colors (like high contrast mode) is not affecting SourceTree, and some forums and documentations listed it as working feature, for example:

This feature worked for some years and stopped working around 2016 in version 1.9.5.0 and get even worse in 2017

            And SRCTREEWIN-2351 is asking for a Dark-theme

Ironically the Windows Dark Theme support is (or was at the time) listed as a working feature in the SourceTree documentation.  Hence why this is listed as a bug (rather than feature request).  Not quite sure why it takes more than 18 months to boot up a windows machine (even in VM) and turn on the dark theme and see it doesn't work.

Sourcetree in Windows is dead. The macOS version is way more updated. I'd say that the windows version its barelly mantained. I still use Sourcetree because its the most efficient gui and with best UI i've seen (and i have tried almost all gui).
