    • Severity 1 - Critical

Never had issues with ST, but I'm on a fresh install of Win 10 x64 now, and ST is completely unusable. Upon start, it launches several "Git for Windows" processes and continuously starts grabbing RAM. I

ST always opens with a "repository" tab that is actually my name and it appears it's scanning my Windows user directory. The "unstaged files" window starts showing files from the "AppData" folder, so I think ST really is parsing my Win user directory which of course is giant. Closing that tab doesn't change anything though. Also, I set the setting to not open any tabs on startup, but it's happening nonetheless.

I could fix this eventually by going to the user directory and removing the .git folder in there. I can only assume ST created it, but wouldn't know why. Also, even if it was there before, why ST would detect and attempt to parse it.
