Maybe it would be to show the info of "git branch --contains" in the view like git extensions does to see the branches this commit is contained in (with "-a" to also see the remote branches).
Or the tags it is contained.
Or use git cherry to also see where it is cherry picked.
As I use the windows version I don't know if this is already implemented in the Mac version.
