Git-Lfs submodule with fetchinclude configuration always asks to download content

    • Type: Bug
    • Resolution: Duplicate
    • Priority: Low
    • None
    • Affects Version/s: 1.9.6.1, 1.9.7-beta-2
    • Component/s: Git
    • Environment:

Both with the Embedded Git version (2.8.1+ lfs 1.4.1) and System (2.10.1 + lfs 1.4.1)
I tried on the beta and stable release of SourceTree for Windows.

    • Severity 2 - Major

I have a couple of submodules setup with fetchinclude configuration for lfs, and whenever I open the submodules with SourceTree I get the popup asking to run git lfs pull, presumably to download everything that is excluded.

Pressing Yes runs it and does nothing, but the popup comes back if I close/open the submodule.

It's also problematic when you have a couple of bookmarks of submodule like this, you get the popup for each of them on startup.
