Trying to fetch from a host of which Putty has already cached an ed25519 host key (ssh-ed25519@22:<hostname>), results in the following error message:
The server's host key is not cached in the registry. You have no guarantee that the server is the computer you think it is. The server's rsa2 key fingerprint is: ssh-rsa 2048 <fingerprint>
So it looks like the cached ed25519 host key is ignored.
