    Description

I have been trying to split & manage development of our local code modules with the git submodules & subtree features ... but in the end both of them did have major drawbacks and added way to much overhead to the general git workflow and maintaining of the version control itself.

A good effort to solve the issues & drawbacks that come with using submodules and git subtree has been made by git-subrepo (https://github.com/ingydotnet/git-subrepo) and I am starting to use it more and more for the benefit of avoiding the drawbacks of the other two mentioned subrepo methods.

Would there be a way to integrate the CLI features of git-subrepo into SourceTree ? either via adding some extensibility API and letting the open source community implement the integration of the git-subrepo workflow or via an integrated support for this kind of subrepo workflow ?

      Thanks & Regards,
      Wolfgang
