changes in .gitignore not displayed

    Description

      Using verison 1.8.1.0 with a GitLab server. If I add one line at a .gitignore file in a repository, the changes are not displayed in the "changes" panel in the "File Status" or "Log / History" tabs.

      I'm adding two images demonstrating the change in the Git server and how it looks like in SourceTree.
