For example; when you push or pull and immediately after that switch to another branch or try to create a new feature/hotfix (git flow) - an error of ".git/index.lock" file is thrown.

This happens often!

This lock file doesn't exists but SourceTree thinks it's still locked.

Once the error is thrown, it stays until you restart SourceTree.

Issue fixed when using embedded Git.
