Showing the disk folder is merely clutter in the bookmarks.

The disk folder in the left-side bookmark bar is purely visual clutter that makes it harder to read the salient information. Practically speaking, unless you stick your project folders off the drive root, you never see enough of it to be useful without making the sidebar excessively wide.
