When I enter a commit message with non-ASCII characters (German umlaut, Greek, ...) those characters are displayed correctly in the input field.

In the log list an log details, however, those characters are displayed as their utf-8 octets.

The text highlighted in the attached screen shot should read

"Test für Umlaute u.ä." and "Δηλφοί"
