    Description

I'm attempting to add a number of files with very long path and file names to the Git index. Most of the adds to staging work fine, but nine don't. I've seen mention on the web that the type of error I'm seeing can occur when attempting to add a file that doesn't exist. These files do exist. When I attempt to stage one of these problematic files using the GUI, I get the following error:

      git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false rm -q -f -- "Contracts Docs Various/HPHC/HPHC HHSF223200910006I - Mini-Sentinel - Data Catalog/2012-09-23 HPHC - Mini-Sentinel - TO 006 Data Catalog/CII TO HHSF22301009T-0006 Maintenance and Enhancments Yr 4 10.09.2012.docx"
      fatal: pathspec 'Contracts Docs Various/HPHC/HPHC HHSF223200910006I - Mini-Sentinel - Data Catalog/2012-09-23 HPHC - Mini-Sentinel - TO 006 Data Catalog/CII TO HHSF22301009T-0006 Maintenance and Enhancments Yr 4 10.09.2012.docx' did not match any files

      Completed with errors, see above.
