Windows 7 x64 / SourceTree v1.5.1 / Embedded Git v1.8.3
Description
Steps undertaken:
Create a new subtree in SourceTree, and use bitbucket as the source.
- Bring up the Add/Link Subtree dialog, and click the Browse Hosted Projects button.
- Select a hosted repository from the list in the Hosted Repository Dialog.
At this stage, you are returned to the first dialog. My Source path is set to
https://email@idtgroup.com@bitbucket.org/...
This cannot be resolved (two @'s), and the repository type fails to be determined. I'm assuming that this is due to the details I supplied when I set SourceTree up initially.
- Change the Source Path / URL to;
https://username@bitbucket.org/...
- Proceed through the dialog setting local relative path, hit OK.
- Select the new subtree and attempt to pull.
SourceTree recorded this error in the log, and hung with the pull dialog open, progress bar spinning.
2014-04-10T10:17:28: Could not determine repository from: 'https://email@idtgroup.com@bitbucket.org/idtgroup-dev/taa-interface-libraries.git', output was: fatal: unable to access 'https://email@idtgroup.com@bitbucket.org/idtgroup-dev/taa-interface-libraries.git/': Could not resolve host: idtgroup.com@bitbucket.org
The Source Path / URL was definitely specified in the subtree dialog as
https://username@bitbucket.org/idtgroup-dev/taa-interface-libraries.git
not
https://email@idtgroup.com@bitbucket.org/idtgroup-dev/taa-interface-libraries.git
