I’m voting for add this feature because the current global keyboard shortcuts in Jira sometimes lead to accidental and destructive actions.

In my case, the single-key shortcut “i” (change/clear assignee) is very easy to press by mistake while working with issues. I frequently end up unintentionally removing the assignee from a request and then have to investigate who it was originally assigned to.

It would help a lot to have at least one of the following:

1. Ability to disable specific shortcuts on a per-user basis (e.g. turn off “i”),

1. Ability to fully customize or remap shortcuts,

1. A way for admins to configure or restrict dangerous single-key shortcuts for their instance.

Customizable/optional shortcuts would significantly improve usability and prevent accidental changes to important fields such as Assignee.
