I upgraded to Sourcetree 3.4.27 and I can hardly use it because the performance is so poor. When I try to navigate to specific commits in the history, either by clicking on branches in the side panel, or by double-clicking on a commit in the Search tab, it just hangs as if it is searching the history for the commit and takes minutes to return.
I downloaded 3.4.26 again and the performance is snappy again once I use that. So something has changed in 3.4.27.
I don't know if it's relevant, but I noticed that the branch drop-down above the history always goes back to "All Branches" when I open Sourcetree fresh. I like to keep it on "Current Branch" but next time I open Sourcetree, it's back on "All Branches".
The repo I'm working on is massive and has lots of branches, both remote and also local. Previous versions could handle this reasonably well, but 3.4.27 is noticeably slower, to the point of being frustrating to use. I'm just glad the rollback worked to the previous version.
