I don't use it and when I have used it in the past, it almost always creates a bigger issue than what it aimed to solve

In my opinion, it takes up a lot of room on the screen for an option that has a high failure rate for how I am using it - it's effectively a 'enable this to crash branch' option 

Can we have the option to disable it from showing up on the file status tab all together?
Or if it already exists, can you direct me to how to disable it?
