Context Menu slow with large repository with many branches

    Description

      I work with an incredibly large repository, with many branches (1000s), and when using the Context Menu (right-click) on things like a branch, to perform actions such as merging into the current branch, opening the context menu can take minutes to load.

       

      It seems like there is some loading of branches going on when the Context Menu is opened, and was hoping that this loading could be moved into a specific Context Menu action, rather than being applied to the entire thing.
