I sometimes run across cases where in my diff a line appears to be modified but there are no semantic changes. This due to whitespace differences, for instance tabs may have been replaced with spaces or there may be multiple trailing whitespaces at the end of the line.

This is more important for whitespace sensitive languages like Python where indentation is critical.

It would be helpful in the diff window if we could also see whitespace characters in the comparison.
