Going through the installer and hitting the second step where you need to register or login with existing Atlassian account, clicking Bitbucket produces the following error message after trying to go to the url below.

This effectively prevents installation from continuing and we are unable to continue using Sourcetree.

Not fixed. I tried using the latest version available, and it says I have to use a Bitbucket cloud account, but the Oauth redirects me to a localhost page which does not load (says "connection refused".

            Hi Everyone

Sorry to hear about this problem with logging into a Bitbucket account from Sourcetree. There is currently an outage in regards to Bitbucket Cloud's OAuth tokens are not working correctly. This is the cause of the inability to login here.

Atlassian has just updated our StatusPage about this incident that you can use to track this problem in https://bitbucket.status.atlassian.com/incidents/l50d1j43zdj9

Once this is resolved I would expect that you should then be able to use Sourcetree without this error.

Sorry again for the inconvenience here.

            Cheers,

            Andy

@Seadna Smallwood, I used that workaround, and got SourceTree installed on the new computer.  Thanks!

I have this same issue, with the same symptoms, and same errors.

Requiring an account just to install a client is crazy.  What it appears is just requiring the account during install is so that Sourcetree can be preconfigured with access to BitBucket.  That might be good if you are using BitBucket, but I'm not, so requiring an account just to preconfigure the application is crazy.

At least add an optional Skip button to bypass this unneeded step.
