I would estimate that 50% of the time the Commit button ignores clicks in our environment. Based on my observations, clicks have no effect any time the green progress bar is churning in the upper left. The impact of this issue is that without constant conscious attention to whether or not the tool did the action requested, you can assume work is checked in and pushed when it is not.
Ideally the Commit button would be disabled during time periods when click events are ignored.

Clicking Commit should create a commit with the staged changes and active commit text

Click event is ignored, no commit created
