I just upgraded from 2.7.x and now 3.1.2 is entirely unusable for me.

I used to have about 8-10 tabs open with some very large repos, some only accessible via VPN. I thought the issue might be related to those but even after removing them, it does not help.

I have about 4-6 tabs open, each fairly small in history, the largest has less than 1000 commits.

If a tab is selected that has local changes that are uncommitted, the diff view works fine. I can also push, etc. But if I switch to a tab that has no uncommited changes and attempt to view the git history, the history shows up for the current branch but it fails to show the diff in the bottom right for the currently selected commit file. The issue also happens if I have uncommited files and I select a commit in the history. It seems that attempting to show a git history diff hangs sourcetree. As far as I can tell, no git process is active in the background, the main UI thread uses 100% CPU usage and the callstack is deep into UI related code.

I let it run for 20-30mins and it never appears to recover. This happens even in repos with <100 commits.

I just tried 3.0.15 and it does not appear to suffer from this issue.
