Github Login popup open a thousand times when computer is locked

    • Severity 3 - Minor

When leaving my Windows 10 professionnal computer locked for a long time, when I come back I notice a huge lag due to memory cosumption and an unknown amount of "Git credentials manager for Windows" popups opened (too many to be all displayed by windows).

I see a potential reasons for that: I have a SourceTree always running and logged into a GitHub account through this credentials manager and the VPN connection used in my company timeout at some point which could explain a new login request.

I started by opening a bug request on the GCM side: https://github.com/Microsoft/Git-Credential-Manager-for-Windows/issues/829

But the GCM is aparently not designed to be a signe-instance program, so maybe there is something you can do on the SourceTree side ? Like preventing automatic git requests to happen as long as the previous exact same one have not been completed ?

Also I am unsure why github credentials are requested to me again as I have a GitHub account registered in SourceTree with saved login and password. I also have a GitLab account registered if this is relevant for anything.
