Left-clicking on the "Download for Windows" button pops up the a dialog. Clicking "Download" results in downloading the MacOS .zip file.
Workaround: If we right-click on the "Download for Windows" button -> open in new tab -> this results in .exe getting downloaded (which is the correct installer).
