Standalone version of SourceTree (I think - it's an application on my PC)

      Server - Bitbucket.

    • Severity 2 - Major

After the last update, I now have the following symptom:

I run SourceTree and it seems to work fine.  I minimize it, and then later go to restore it.  It does not restore.  This is consistent and happens every time.   Instead of restoring, I hear the windows beep that you get when you click on something out of focus - maybe there is a dialog that is hidden that is blocking it? (Though I don't see any such dialog when I Alt_Tab and look at the preview, it does sort-of behave that way.)

I try Alt+Tab, and I can tab over to Sourcetree, but it still does not open, (I just hear the beep).

If I right-click on SourceTree in the task bar, I can close it with the "X Close Window" option, and then it will open fine again.  This is the only thing I have found that helps.

Rebooting the computer did not seem to help.

This issue does not occur on my second PC, even though the setups are identical as far as I can tell.

I'm experiencing the issue of Sourcetree not restoring after minimizing on Windows 8.1 as well.  Versions 3.0.6 and 3.0.8.

The workaround of Windows key + up arrow worked for me too.

You can use win key + up arrow to bring it back as another workaround, which is much quicker than repeatedly clicking the icon. Hopefully this is fixed soon!

Also SourceTree 3.0.6 does not minimize when I click on its icon on taskbar. All other apps work fine.

I can confirm - Yea clicking it in the taskbar continuously will restore it.  A weird work-around, but it seems to work.

Also, if I click pretty quickly and continuously on the taskbar item, it eventually pops up.

I have the same issue. If it helps, using `process explorer` I can bring focus to the window using the `Bring to Front` functionality.

I have the same problem, after the update to 3.0.6. Source Tree is totally unusable as it has to be completely restarted after it was minimized.

I confirm the problem: SourceTree window cannot be restored after being minimized. Window state (maximized or not) before minimizing doesn't matter.
I suffer from the same behaviour on three different PCs.
            Windows 10 x64, SourceTree 3.0.5 and 3.0.6 (2.6.x was fine).

is it possible to give priority?!
