Medium Niche bug. It only happens one one of the project (and I tried removing the project / adding from an existing repo again, without success, the bug is still here).
When selecting a commit in the history list, I can only select one of the first 8 files in the file list. Any click on an item below is ignored, and a double click opens the 8th file. I can right click on any file (which ends up selecting it, and showing the diff, as intended) but from there, arrow navigation jumps back to the 8th item.

I think you'll find that the number of entries you can select exactly matches the number of commits. This happens to me in all repositories in any commit where the number of files modified in the commit is greater than the number of commits in the commit history.
