    Description

      Problem:

Some sub windows / popups don't open in SoureTree the project window (where I can see commits) gets darkened but that's it. This happens for example when I click on "branch", "merge" or on the "settings" icon within the project window. This means I can't even create a branch from within SourceTree and have to use the terminal for that.

I have this behavior since I installed SourceTree on this Mac so it didn't work before either. I was hoping an upcoming update would fix it but that never happened.

      What I tried so far:

      • Wait for a couple of updates (none of the SourceTree updates fixed it)
      • Uninstalled the SourceTree app and a bunch of related files (I did not catch all files because the bookmarks were preserved each time but I did not find official, correct documentation how to fully remove SourceTree for a clean reinstall)
      • Temporarily removed the global git config and the ssh config assuming those caused the issue
      • Tried to run via Rosetta instead of the ARM version directly

      Sys info:

Those are my current specs but older versions of both macOS and SourceTree had the same issue.

macOS Ventura 13.0 on M1 Pro Mac (tried via Rosetta and without)

      SourceTree: 4.2.2

      EmbeddedGit 2.39.1

      Embedded git-flow

      Embedded git-lfs 3.2.0
