git status and submod status never refresh automatically

      In Sourcetree for Mac v4.2.0(246), the git status doesn't refresh automatically, except when first opening.  Additionally, submodule statuses also do not refresh automatically.

      Hitting Command-R to force a manual refresh does work correctly.

      It appears as though the automatic refresh is completely __ broken.

      In Preferences -> General, the "Refresh automatically when files change" option is checked.  I also tried to uncheck and re-check this setting.  Also tried to close and re-open.

      I should add that this issue has existed through several Sourcetree for Mac versions.

      Today I'm running on macOS Monterey 12.6, on an M1 Max Macbook Pro.
