As a user more comfortable with GUI than command-line git, I would like to be able to see git status when I am in the middle of rebase or cherry pick, so I know I have to complete the operation so Git isn't left in a limbo state.

When doing a Rebase or Cherry Pick, Git goes into a state where you are "in the middle of doing" the rebase or cherry pick, and if those actions aren't "completed" your git can be in this state of limbo, causing problems later. It would be fantastic if the UI could display the status somehow to alert the user the rb/cp is incomplete. For example, an icon of the yellow alert triangle and/or some text like "Rebase in progress" under the name of the repo or in the button toolbar.
