I have poured over reports and preferences and can't find option for this behavior so don't know if it's intended or a bug. If it's intended it's still bad it can't be disabled.

Any time I do a commit anything I have on clipboard is wiped clean, the clipboard is literally zeroed out on macOS Big  Sur 11.4 and sourcetree 4.1.2. I can reproduce it 100% of time. I simply copy anything to clipboard, commit to a git repo,  clipboard now blank

this behavior didn't happen on sourcetree 3.x it is new to 4.x It seriously slows down my work flow which sometimes involves copy and pasting commit message into up to 12 repos and now I have to add an extra step of recopying the text from a text document first sincce it's wiped for each and every commit.

[SRCTREE-7714] Sourcetree clears clipboard on commit

Appears to be working for me now too.  Thank you!

            Yes, it seems resolved

On top of that, i'm happy to see it's also a universal app in the beta. Not only does clipboard not get highjacked anymore, app is way more snappy on apple silicon. Cheers

Very unpleasant bug. It should be high priority.

I've also reported this issue several months ago.   4.1.1 is the last version that doesn't clear the clipboard, so I've been stuck using it, even though it has other very annoying bugs that have been fixed.

Just another example of a company that clearly doesn't use its own software.   If they used Sourcetree for their own work, this bug wouldn't exist.

Issue persists in 4.1.5 running on macOS 12.1. (M1 Mac, in case that matters)
